£50m Chelsea player is getting likely to be sold, staff feel he’s not performing well enough – journalist

It has now been claimed that one Chelsea player is becoming more likely to be sold as time goes on.

Max from LondonsFirst has claimed that some staff at the club are of the belief that Raheem Sterling is not performing well enough to warrant the wages he is picking up right now.

Sterling has remained an important player under Mauricio Pochettino this season, however his place in the side has been under threat.

The England international is not really the go-to man when it comes to the attack right now either. Cole Palmer has outperformed him in attack this season in his first campaign at the club.

While there have been no claims that the club will be looking to move on from Sterling in the near future, it has now been claimed that a move could be discussed soon after seeing him not perform to the standard they believe he should be.

Sterling getting likely to be sold

He said: Sources have told me that Raheem Sterling will likely be a player that is sold, but it is currently viewed as a situation to seriously sit down and discuss more in 2025.

“Some around the club feel that he is not performing consistent enough for the huge wage’s he is on (£300,000+), whilst many are also mindful of Mykhailo Mudryk’s development.”

With reports suggesting the Blues are not done when it comes to signing players to bolster their attack in the upcoming windows, it may make sense that they are looking to move Sterling on in the coming months.

However, his impact is still going to be crucial on the side this season, starting with tonight’s crucial EFL Cup semi-final.
